Schedule of Events

Loaner Car Distribution Saturday, January 27

9 a.m., Secure Storage in Escatawpa

Loaner cars are available on a first-come, first-served basis. Cars may need to be tweaked and repaired before they are race ready.  The goal is for the racer and an adult to work together to make the car ready for race day.

Practice Runs Saturday, March 9

8-11 a.m. at the former MP Rotary Building, corner of Bellview and Magnolia Street

All racers are encouraged to take a test run off the ramps to get a feel for the driving experience and the art of breaking.  It is important that the racer be prepared for race day and that the car be adjusted to suit the racer.  Other race families with experience building and racing these cars will be on hand for some tips and tricks. It is mandatory for all first-year racers to take at least one run off the ramps.

Family Dinner and Heat and Lane Drawing, March 22

6 p.m. at The Lumberyard Restaurant, Moss Point

Bring your lawn chairs and family to enjoy fellowship with racing families and committee members.  After dinner, there will be a brief discussion of wheel swaps and special awards followed by the Heat and Lane Drawings to determine the first match of the day.

Race Day Saturday, March 23

7 a.m.  Check-in and Inspection

9 a.m. Races Begin

Racers MUST check in at registration tent to receive car number.  This number will determine your space in the pit area.  After securing car numbers, racers must get in line for weigh-in and inspection.  Once all adjustments are made, the car and racer should report to the pit until the race begins.
